The second-hand shopping app has updated its size classifications for female and kids' apparel without notifying every member regarding the update. Online Platforms Backlash Numerous buyers and vendors have taken to social media claiming that product pages now present a different size category versus the original listing due to the recalibration. The platform stated the updated approach better aligns with other platforms. They have suggested members to review their products and manually change the size if necessary, causing user dissatisfaction. Size Classification Modifications Before the change, the measurements included a single numeric size and a letter, for instance S/8 or M/10. The revised method features a letter with a size spectrum for example S/UK 8-10. With some products, the sizing has been recategorised - like an L measurement was formerly size 12 but now shows as UK 16-18. User Experiences Frankie Bridger, who makes TikTok content about plus-size fashion, explained the modification "makes transactions more difficult". "Rarely do manufacturers list XL as sizes 20-22," as the platform currently indicates. Stephanie Gallen, from Glasgow, said garments she listed featuring size 14 markings were appearing on the platform as size 20–22. "If buyers measuring 20-22 acquire them they may become frustrated," she explained. Required Changes Charlotte Lunn, located in England, explained she became annoyed due to the update requiring manual adjustment the measurements for "each individual item". "For me this is particularly frustrating, since I have chronic health issues and platform income has been essential for me since losing part of my income," she said. Service Background The platform boasts over 100 million users, comprising 18 million UK members. It has emerged as a preferred choice compared to resale services such as eBay and Depop.
